Using 2.1.1 From sid and accounts icon bottom left only shows one account, it used to show all accounts, clicking on it shows others but there seems to be no way to reorder the accounts so the icon is currently showing an account that is disabled and not the one in current use.

Is a gallery in Chat Details planned? It's quite a challenge to find an attachment among 80.000 items in the Downloads folder π
-
lovetox
yes
-
lovetox
and also we will probably create a folder tree structure, where you can browse domain -> user -> files
-
Anon Ymous
Hmz, that would cause a lot of duplicate files when stuff is sent from/to multiple contacts...
-
Anon Ymous
Maybe optional?
-

That folder structure would be for files you receive from contacts
-
lovetox
i assume you dont receive the same file from multiple contacts often

By the way, the performance enhancements for Windows in 2.3.5 are a bit counterproductive, it seems: it now takes 10 whole seconds for the window to show up π I keep getting confused whether the double-click actually registered π
-
lovetox
double click?
-
lovetox
which window?
-
chud
I think he means the click to launch the program. Same here btw. Not 10 seconds but enough to think I didn't actually click and click again..

i dont see how the change would affect this, we changed that python files are not pre compiled, so they compile on the very first start, but afterwards they are cached on the disk and its effectively the same situation as before
-
lovetox
but yes, startup times on windows were always slow
-
chud
maybe some lib got more bloated
-
lovetox
can always be the case, as we use newest libs on every windows build, its enough if one of the developers of the 20+ dependencies introduces some slow code on import time
-
lovetox
of course i would like to have it blazing fast starting, but how much time would i have to invest to maybe shave of 2-3 seconds from the start up time, rather invest the time into something that brings more value
π 1 -
lovetox
on linux it takes 3 seconds for to show the Gajim window
-
lovetox
fast enough for me

> i dont see how the change would affect this, we changed that python files are not pre compiled, so they compile on the very first start, but afterwards they are cached on the disk and its effectively the same situation as before It's actually way faster in general when e.g. switching chats. More responsive.
-
lovetox
yes, thats why we did the change, but does not change the fact that i dont understand why this is the case

Okay, so seeing as I don't like splash screens, I'm not going to suggest that π I guess I'll get AutoHotkey to get me some feedback that launching is in progress π
