Sounds like a packaging issue on your system. Also, note that on each nvidia update you have to run `flatpak update` so that the flatpak nvidia libraries match the system ones

Otherwise you are going to have trouble on many apps

Anon Ymous
Why can't I change the window background via a theme file, e.g. ``` :root { --view-bg-color: rgb(240, 240, 220) !important; } ``` or alternatively ``` .mainwindow-grid { background: rgb(240, 240, 220) !important; } .chatlist-row, .search-view, .file-transfer, .preview-stack > box { background-color: rgb(240, 240, 220) !important; } ```

Because `libadwaita` apps are specifically made to be unthemeable

alexkurisu: Gajim uses plenty of CSS to style its UI. If you write your own CSS, you can do many things

Internally, yes, but external themes purposefully broken

> Because `libadwaita` apps are specifically made to be unthemeable That's not an answer to why these CSS rules don't work though. Did you try them using GTK inspector, Anon Ymous ? I think `important` flags don't work in GTK's CSS

I use a tiling window manager so resizing is inherent. This was never a problem with gtk2 or qt.

I'll probably get banned for saying that as soon as a admin sees it, but it's truly terrifying the active and willful destruction of the linux desktop over the last 15 years. Along with the hubris to call anyone who thinks differently from the nu gnome way of thinking is just dumb gnome knows what's best.
