hey all! I feel stupid but I don't find where to set profile pic and nickname in the latest gajim?

  4. nicoco

I have multiple accounts, maybe that's why?

  5. nicoco

dammit, ofc now that I asked here I just found -_-

  6. tom

    logs of what?

  7. cal0pteryx

    > dammit, ofc now that I asked here I just found -_- nicoco: we're in the process of making that nicer :)

  8. cal0pteryx

tom: logs of Gajim's startup which capture the issue you're describing

  9. lovetox

tom: or you supply an account for testing

  10. tom

    ok

  11. Codimp

What do you think about adding a shortcut (on "up arrow" by default) to edit the last message when the focus is on the input area?

  12. cal0pteryx

    Codimp: ctrl+up does that

  13. Codimp

    > Codimp: ctrl+up does that oh, it don't seem to be present in the shortcut dialog

  14. cal0pteryx

    That's a good pointer

Hello, Gajim folks, I really like how Gajim evolved over the years and I even quite like the workspaces feature. What definitely is missing though, would be some information about which emoji needs which words to appear after the ":". What would be nice in this case, if that kind of information would be shown with a mouse-over on the emojis, that are already posted or are in the little box next to the input field.

i think it should be possible to have something like a popover if one clicks on a emoji, but needs one interested to do a proof of concept

  18. cal0pteryx

    > What definitely is missing though, would be some information about which emoji needs which words to appear after the ":". The popover already shows all information necessary, doesn't it? It shows all available triggers there are

  19. lovetox

they meant they want to discover names somewhere without guessing

  20. lovetox

the usual approach is you think about words the emoji could be connected to and then try typing them

  21. lovetox

but learning names of emojis others post with a simple mouse over could be useful

  22. lovetox

it would be best in the emojipicker .. but we cannot modify it

    > Basically: if it doesn't work on <your platform> and I cannot replicate it on <my platform> please send me <your platform> :D edhelas: you've just invented docker 🤣
