Hello! I’m trying to use Gajim from master on macOS 26 Tahoe. Gajim starts. yes a dependency is broken sadly

so you cannot use Gajim on Mac currently

Strange, but Gajim was working on my Mac on 15.6.1

I’ve installed macOS in a VM recently to try and fix this kind of issue, but it’s extremely slow so I rarely boot it, plus it seems to require an Apple account just to build anything…

It's a pain, I've given up on that

And this includes debugging on Safari that cannot be emulated or debugged anywhere else than on an Apple device.

Basically: if it doesn't work on <your platform> and I cannot replicate it on <my platform> please send me <your platform> :D

btw, I now see a new bug which wasn't present in a previous version: I can't drag-and-drop a file on a conversation windows to upload it

I'm having an issue on a legacy IP network. Gajim isn't using the fallback SRV records for IPv4

On FreeBSD

$ host -t srv _xmpp-client._tcp.nuegia.net _xmpp-client._tcp.nuegia.net has SRV record 50 5 5222 r2.sea.us.nuegia.net. _xmpp-client._tcp.nuegia.net has SRV record 10 5 5222 xmpp.nuegia.net.

Gajim never tries the fallback r2 record and stalls out no route to host forever
