I've installed Gajim( 2.1.1-2) on Debian Trixie and I've noticed that from my perspective there is a regression in comparison with Bookworm + Gajim (1.8.4-1~bpo12+1) which I have on a different machine. On the newer version on the left sidebar I have only one account, the rest is hidden - all accounts are enabled. Another visible thing is that I don't have the Gajim icon in systray - there is no problem with other apps. Did I miss something or is it intentional?

it's good, at the very least, to hear something to notify you just in case you're not paying attention to the computer

me using gajim on a laptop put me in the habit of switching to another application any time i was waiting for a response while messaging someone, not very ideal

What I meant was probably the Triggers plugin. Did you check that? Otherwise I'll take a look later :)

That has always been there, but maybe I changed some rule handling. Please check if this works for you, otherwise I'll have a look

what is the sort order of conversations in the conversations list?

I'd find it useful if this was grouped first by the criteria whether there are unread messages and then within those it could be alphabetically

but currently I need to scroll to see MUCs with unread messages while other conversations without unread messages are being displayed on the top

hm. I am on debian and somehow the gajim icon is not displayed in the taskbar. I have enabled "notification symbol" but still it doesn't seem to be there. What am I missing?
