Gajim - 2025-08-18

if i use a lot of emojis in a single session, the emoji picker starts duplicating them when selected. restarting gajim temporarily fixes the issue but it always seems to happen again. the exact amount of emojis is seemingly random, sometimes this bug will happen with a single emoji, other times itll take like 30

anybody facing issue to connect with draugr.de servers?

I can't join some MUCs with Gajim 2.3.4, while it works with Dino. Known problem or shall I investigate, e.g. look at the stream?

debacle: 2.3.4 has an issue with xml lang, which is set to "C" on some systems. You could check that?

Hi, my old Gajim on my old OS ran trouble free for years or month. Since yesterday it throws an error when it starts. hm check advanced config, i think you can disable the plugin request there

you can circumvent it by setting a correct locale on your system

or for example with a env var LANG=en_US.UTF-8

Database seeking and keeping more of the chat loaded in ram can cause that

I don't know what happened but Gajim is not able to follow my GTK theme anymore. The elements are all over the place. Some parts are dark mode some are light mode. I using Plasma 6.4 ... I recently tried pywal for like 5 minutes and I think it left some traces behind. I set everything back to Breeze with Everforest color set but now Gajim look like this

i need to test that and see if the reply bug has been fixed, but in case it hasn't been reported/fixed yet: sometimes if i hit reply, it randomly replies to the message i replied to beforehand, it basically lags 1 reply behind
