2.3.3 on another pc in my house does not blink the conversation window. i had this problem on a 2.x version before i upgraded to the latest

both clients are on Windows 11

my wife's pc just upgraded from i think a 1.x version to 2.3.3 after she got an upgrade notification and now she doesn't get blinking conversation window.

For the backup, `%APPDATA%\Gajim` should be added to the path list of your system's backup software.

both computers on 2.3.3. Mine conversation window blinks on new message, wife's client does not

Could you make Farstream optional or pull it in only at runtime? I assume it is used for video conferencing? I'd rather have Gajim without video conferencing on Mac than not have Gajim at all.

elfchen: The traceback looks like Gajim tries to set it's stream language, which is only available in an unreleased nbxmpp version. Are you running Gajim 2.3.3 or master?

So what's the fastest way to get the unreleased nbxmpp into my venv? I can clone the repo and then what do I need to run? `pip install .` or so?

How are you testing if it blinks?

The window must not be focused

it is not focused during the test. she is in another window, i message and it doesn't blink so she doesn't see anything until she manually focuses the window

Does she see a windows notification?

Maybe she disabled notifications in prefernces

Has anyone here figured a way to incorporate a dialer with cheogram on desktop?

The problem with SIP is that it doesn't call into PSTN. It only does SIP to SIP calls

Hi, I heared in the biboumi room that gajim has a special fix to work around multi line messages in biboumi. Does anyone here have any more info, and ideally what should biboumi do to work without special fixes from gajim?

I'm seeing some things online claiming that it should "just work" by default if my server supports XEP-0313, which Gajim claims it does in the feature list

I think I figured it out, I'd joined in the 2nd client from jabber.member.fsf.org instead of just member.fsf.org

It seems weird that it would even let me do that but in a way where the accounts aren't joined? but oh well lol
