I've noticed there are some kind of inconsistency on the KICK / BAN pair in the Spanish translations that I'd like to address. "Kick" is translated consistently but "ban" is not: there are four different verbs currently in use ("vetar", "silenciar", "prohibir", "censurar") and I think it would be better to reach consensus on one term to refer to the "ban" action. The main advantage would be avoiding confusion with "kick" and having consistency on the "ban" action. What do you think? Should it be discussed here?

I see… Well, I'll propose some pairs I've been thinking of and let's see if there is any feedback on it.

Number 5 could be even better, but I find it too formal for a chat software. Number 2 is problematic as "echar" is slightly stronger than "sacar", so it increases difficulty in distinguishing "kick" from "ban". Number 3 and 4 are good ones, but too large. Also, "expulsar" is often used in the context of being quite for ever, so "expulsar definitivamente" doesn't make much sense —I simply thought of that because "expulsar" is the current translation in use. Finally, number 6 and 7, "excluir" sounds somehow pejorative or unjustified.

"sacar" is not the proper term for kick imho. echar/expulsar would be better

for ban I propose _vetar_

_expulsar_ does not imply a permanent ban, might come back just like Barney in Moe's tabern

Alright, let's consider "vetar". I'm not quite in favor of this term as it's quite formal, at least in Argentina never heard it in colloquial language. It sounds to me as "proscribir", a term that fits very well, but is not so common language.

"Expulsar" in a school context, you cannot come back like Barney. Also, in sports, cannot play any more. That's why I thought of that verb. It's difficult because "expulsar" was used extensively as a translation for "kick". I would agree that expulsar/vetar or expulsar/proscribir would be the best pairs, but I'm afraid they are too formal terms.
