when going online, a popup appears saying "authentication required: an app required access to default keyring" and i have to type in my password everytime i login, is there any way to disable this feature?

Do you have a keyring installed?

installing a keyring probably solves the problem, if for whatever reason you dont want to install one, you can disable keyring storage in Preferences -> Advanced
