I've noticed, at least in 2.3.x, that when scrolling up, i.e. going back into history, earlier posted images are only displayed as (working) links

In my case I had to scroll almost a month into the past to start seeing only links.

Anyone else can confirm that?

resoli, that most likely comes from your server, first Prosody doesn’t support such translation yet, and for Ejabberd to support it you have to advertise your local in the request iq stanza.

Setting it on the stream is enough, if you don’t override it.
