are u saying MUC rooms with associated Mumble rooms for multiparty conferencing? Not a bad integration in my opinion

U can parse the mumble log to get server joins or use the ice port with prosody

Out of scope for gajim tho maybe

There's no python library for mumble that handles audio correctly

U can expose the mumble protobufs over websockets tho

Hello, is it possible to start a chat with a new jid without requsting adding it as a contact? I thought it was the default, but I had today an unpleasant episode

yes type the jid into the start chat window

And I confirmed testing this between two my own accounts

I looked to contact details in the chat

And i saw that status visibility was enabled

I can retry, I removed my two accounts from respective contact lists

make sure the contact is really removed

in the Manage Contact List dialog

I removed using other clients (Cheogram, Conversations)

And now the other part details in the old chats are absent

Now they chat without being contacts. Interestingly, one of the two ceased to decrypt the other OMEMO messages

Anyway, Cheogram and Conversations are able to chat with OMEMO both ways.

It's a marginal problem anyway. I wanted to be sure of the "Start chat" behaviour. It was the other part that did not understand my message. ✏
