lockywolf: you've added a group chat to your roster. Remove it and Gajim starts again ;) it's a known issue

how can I remove it if gajim does not start?

With the app you added the chat with, which I suppose was not Gajim?

I upgraded the system and the app does not work any more

lockywolf: if you are using any other xmppclient, remove the kaidan group chat from your roster (contact list)

got it to work, ram now never goes over 500 mb for my sample application :) modulo some other bug I need to fix. ✏
