Any gajim release out of these (https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/-/releases) that supports audio and video calls?

Hello, I am trying to run Gajim (linux flatpak) under a different locale as explained in https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/-/wikis/help/gajimfaq#how-can-i-change-the-application-language but it insists using the default patform locale (italian)

Note that the it is working on another machine, but I cannot do the same on my home machine. Any hint?

The strange thing is that on the other machine I can switch to english and french without problems

`.local/share/flatpak/app/org.gajim.Gajim/x86_64/stable/$hash/files/share/locale/` lists symlinks for all languages, but the symlink destinations are all empty. It seems that only spelling correction dictionaries (libspelling.mo) have been installed. (Note I've also installed org.Gajim.gajim.Locale fwiw)

scompo: start by registering an account at translate.gajim.org, there you can check the strings. You can also talk to resoli who is already working on it

Greetings! I want to switch to XMPP for daily use, but I need voice calls support from clients, both on windows and linux. Does Gajim supports voice calls? I've troubles finding reliable information about it

What about movim? https://xmpp.org/software/movim/ (It does seem to support voice calling and it's a webapp too)

yep Movim have calls, and even calls with multiple peoples on the same room, not just one-one

The problem though with movim is it keeps toggling encryption (OMEMO) off and I hate it

I don't use Movim, but maybe it's an issue you can discuss in Movim room cause it's strange ✏

xmpp is federated so you don't need to have an account with movim just to use it

Gajim is not a service, you can do whatever you want, as long as you dont do it in this channel

What happened to Gajim, so smooth now !, smooth UI !

i always set my laptop CPU to 800MHz, but after update Gajim the UI are now smooth and not like before !

Gajim might be best XMPP client. In future I want to contribuite and add voice calls support 🥺

I think some upstream libraries are preventing the Gajim team from implementing this, unfortunately. But I hope upstream merges those changes so that Gajim can then add support for calling. 🤞
