Hey guys., Why my chat says, This message was encrypted with OMEMO, but not for your device. How can i fix?
-
Codimp
Most of the time it's because messages were sent before you install the app on the new device, or maybe you let the device disconnected for too long (days)
-
Codimp
Are you in one of those situations?
-
cleonopatra
Yeah, Unfortunately. What can i do?
-
Codimp
To avoid it in the future you need to keep your devices connected regularly. For the first case you can't do anything, it's how end to end encryption work

The current italian translation is really a mess
-
resoli
The worst part is the right mouse action over a conversation, which is not only absurd, but even functionally wrong
-
resoli
The wording for "Pin Chat", "Move Chat" an "Mute Chat" are rendered as "Group Chat" "Private Chat" "Private Chat" italian equivalents. Morover, the two "Pivate Chat" items lead both to the timings list for muting chat. No way to engage the move chat action. (Happily, it is possible to drag and drop chats for moving them)

I guess that something happened to translations on this 2.3.* releases. Weblate says that these words were untouched since years

Hi guys, before, with the old Windows version (195 i believe) I could right-click on a picture in a browser, click "copy" and paste the pic into the Gajim chat. That doesn't work with the new version. How can I re-enable it?
-
sevenupman
And I cannot drag&drop pictures into the Gajim chat window?!? WTF guys! And while installing the new version, the install process deleted the content of my C:\Users\[user]\Downloads\Gajim folder. WTF?!?

or is this only the case if installed via the app store?

No we changed it to the Standard Windows Download folder
-

With app store Installations appdata is virtualized and other apps don't have access

Which lead to the picture app not finding a downloaded picture

So drag&drop works from Windows Explorer (Win10) but not from XnView MP, while it did before. Right-klicking images in a browser and pasting them in the chat works occasionally, it seems. While it didn't work for me earlier today, it seems to work fine now, from different browsers. Go figure.
