beause you dont have a service installed that offers the dbus interface org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop

BTW the application Gajim gets not recognized by XFCE4. Gajim must be startes in the terminal.

dbus is running here and all the notifications are working. So how to test org.freedesktop.portal.Desktop?

On resizing, especially on shrinking, `size_allocate` and `set_size_request` are too cpu intensive and it starts to lag. Especially for the justified layout, it's less problematic for squares. it seems the label property to make the "Set Trust" string translatable is missing? The "Set Trust" label in the OMEMO Trust Manager still appear in english when everything else is in french (for me here, but I think it's the same for other languages)

after recompiling it, it works as expected

lovetox, when I set a widget as child of a ScrolledWindow, I get scrollbars if the child's size is sufficiently large. Additionally I can assign a Gtk.Adjustments to the ScrolledWindow and connect it to notify event for value-changed or changed. However, in my gallery example, the vadjustment's value stays 0.0, when I scroll. Do you have any idea how do I get the scrollbar's position? or do you require to see some code first? I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong

my expierience with scrolled windows is very limited, maybe you need to add this interface to your widget

i think its much more help to you if you simply look at other widgets with scrolling ability
