    Although I've set 'Send chat markers' off on a 1:1 contact in Gajim 2.2.0 the messages get read, when I click on the chat. In a previous version of Gajim it worked correctly. Bug in 2.2.0?

    I have a friend whose server went down for 3 months. I try to reuse the chat & on my end I have the > This message was encrypted with OMEMO and could not be decrypted.

    So how do I reset my situation. Sending a message via TLS then reenabling OMEMO doesn’t do anything.

    you need to ask your contact what there device fingerprint is

    then go to the omemo settings of that contact and search that fingerprint

    there is a but where you can click delete

    afterwards you can restart gajim and it should download the same fingerprint again
