hey, is it possible to enable "send chat markers", for all public channels at once? i wish to do this, so as to sync the read messages between my desktop and my mobile phone.

(i know that i's possible to do it, on a per chat basis, but that would be too tedious)

kishy: no it's not possible. But the most recent gajim version offers a different mechanism for syncing read state in public group chats. Gajim Conversations and Monal (at least) support this

i ask because as of right now, chats between my conversations and gajim are not synced, with respect to the messages i've read.

do both the clients need to be online simultaneously for this to work? because when i use conversations, gajim is usually offline.

steps to reproduce: 1. keep gajim offline 2. open conversations and read messages on public channels 3. open gajim 4. you should see unread messages

About chat markers, did you check account options if I remember correctly you can set a default for all public chats. kishy
