Hey here, I just see the Signal post about how they declare the Signal app have DRM to avoid Microsoft bullshit AI to take screenshot of the app, do you think the same can be do on the Windows version of Gajim?

I don't think you can actually defend against the platform.

you can try, but in the end you have to trust Microsoft's pinky-promise to not take screenshots of DRM'd windows.

when i choose a new sound to play it just plays nothing and resets to nothing

So, i’m looking to hack custom emoji into gajim. I think it should be possible to do in a plugin… What I was thinking is that emoji shortcodes, i.e. “:custom_emoji:” gets replaced with an image of some sort. I think that clientside only would work OK, as it’s bit of a hacky idea without protocol support. A further idea is an emoji picker, just listing the folder of images, or somesuch. I had an attempt at looking into other plugins and ended up confused on how to start my own, is there an example plugin, or perhaps a guide out there I can follow?

hello i have a question my friends need answered

i want to make sure messages between me and them are encrypted, but whilst i receive their messages which are unencrypted they do not get my encrypted messages

they keep getting messages saying "This message was encrypted with OMEMO but not for your device"

and despite Gajim having OMEMO plugin built in their messages appear to me as plaintext messages through the red message bubble marking on Conversations

i havent seen issues like this online. BTW this is for the latest windows version
