    camelia: Hi

  2. aotu99shop

Dear XMPP. JP Administrator, I am reaching out because I am unable to receive password reset emails for multiple XMPP. JP accounts, despite checking all folders (including spam/junk) and ensuring that noreply@xmpp.jp is whitelisted. Here are the affected accounts: 1. Username: yuperaiyan Email: yuperaiyan@outlook.com 2. Username: aotu99good Email: jianchi1998@outlook.com 3. Username: serviershop Email:serviershop@outlook.com 4. Username: bigmoneybro Email:bigmoneybro11@outlook.com I have submitted the password reset form and the contact form on the website but received no response or email. Could you kindly assist with manually resetting the passwords or advise how I can regain access? If you need any identity verification, I’m happy to provide it. Thank you very much for your time and support. Best regards, [yuperaiyan]

this is not the administrator, unfortunately

  4. alfalfascout

The contact page for xmpp.jp is here. I recommend contacting them there instead of asking us, because we don't know anything about it. https://www.xmpp.jp/contact

deuill: you should monitor when this happens exactly, message don't fall out of mam. Either you configured the chat to not load all messages (public) or there is a faulty client who references IDs that don't exist

  6. lovetox

Or there is a bug in gajim

  7. nigel

What if the message replied to has expired from mam at that time, but the reply has still not yet reached expiry time?

  8. camelia

    > camelia: Hi nasr: hi! how can I help you? :)

  9. lovetox

nigel: yes such things exist, but it should be relatively rare, I would assume a muc has a expiration time that is not only a few hours or days

    > deuill: you should monitor when this happens exactly, message don't fall out of mam. Either you configured the chat to not load all messages (public) or there is a faulty client who references IDs that don't exist > message don't fall out of mam they seem to be doing that in this very chat, as there are messages that i can see in Conversations (which i think is always connected) but not in Gajim (which is not always connected) maybe just deleted by moderators though

  11. lovetox

What is your sync threshold on that chat?

  12. kimapr

    No Threshold

  13. kimapr

that shouldn't matter though since the messages are from today

  14. lovetox

If the referenced message is not from today it matters

  15. kimapr

i also can't load chat history in this chat from before i have joined

  16. lovetox

Did you join the chat the first time today?

  17. kimapr

    > is there a way to transfer OMEMO message keys from one device to another? i seem to have joined yesterday and then asked this question shortly after

  18. kimapr

the missing messages (aside from the entirety of chatting done before i was here the first time) are individual messages and they're also spammy so it's more likely that they're deleted

  19. lovetox

Yes that's expected on first join you can only load 24 hours

  20. lovetox

I don't have gajim available at the moment so I can't check

  21. jonas’

what do I need to do to get gajim to refresh an avatar for a MUC?

  22. jonas’

I set it using Conversations, search.jabber.network sees it (so it's available via vcard-temp), but gajim hasn't picked up on it over days and a couple restarts now.
