Note for Debian users: I'll upload 2.2.0 to experimental soon, but it will not go to unstable or testing. After Debian 13 is released (as always: when it's ready, maybe June/July), most likely there will be a backport.

Today I tried to update to version 1.9.5, which was offered automatically when I started the programme. Unfortunately, this did not work and I did not receive a corresponding message. I am using Windows 11. Have I done something wrong or misunderstood?

It is genuinely total insanity to use notoriously awful buggy unstable creepe bad Windows 11. It makes zero sense.

You could start `Gajim-Debug.exe` in some terminal and check its output, when it asks to upgrade again.

how did you install Gajim?

I'm not tech-savvy. That's why I don't understand some of the comments here about my problem. That's why I'm letting go of this topic now and sticking with version 1.9.3 (Windows) and trust that it will continue to run without any problems.

wunderbar: if you installed via Microsoft Store (i.e. big button on gajim.org), you're bound to 1.9.3 at the moment

An update will follow as soon as some problems are resolved with the Windows build (our end)

This should also resolve updates being shown even though you're on an MS Store install

I have a quick question about windows client. Is calling not supported because majority of you guys sit on linux or/and libraries dont support windows audio stack?

No, calling is currently unspported on *unix too

yeah i don't think i have seen calling option on my gajim install on linux too

only dino client supports any type of calling on desktop

i just checked the https://xmpp.org/software/?platform=windows and i swear to god there was checkmark on gajim days ago
