    >> I used to use Serverless Messaging with Gajim back then (0.16?), but it isn't well integrated with XMPP nowadays, e.g. PEP applications like OMEMO are difficult. I'm not sure, if it still makes sense for instant messaging. Probably for other applications, i.e. home automation, machine-to-machine, IoT. That's why I'm not sad, that the feature is gone from Gajim. > Would be cool to have that on a mobile client though. Probably no use on desktop. Over the years 2 different people have ran XMPP servers on their Android phones under termux, one prosody the other ejabberd, so you can totally have this now, if you want :)

  2. Nyx [ep.im]

the problem with that would be port forwarding though

  3. Fuwupe

    > How are you? Where are you from? huh

  5. gyatt

i do miss when i could open up 2 gajim clients on the same network and theyd just autodiscover and i could talk between computers

  6. gyatt

  26. Codimp

Het here, on recent commits, what are "occupant id"?

  27. Codimp

(I'm doing some translations and want to be sure of the context)

  28. cal0pteryx

Occupant IDs are unique IDs for group chat participants

  29. Codimp

ok, so it's not the JID, it's specific to every account and specific to every channel

  30. Codimp

    thanks

  31. cal0pteryx

I'd say this is a string which should not necessarily be translated. It's displayed in a table header, I think

  32. Codimp

    ok, I will keep ID

  33. cal0pteryx

I'll mark it as untranslatable later, but this shouldn't hinder your work :) thanks for that!

  34. Codimp

also did "Sync Group Chat Blocklist" sync blocklists of all groups or this string is for a specific group only each time?

  35. Codimp

ok my bad, I wasn't reading the code correctly, it seem it sync a per account blocklist (of channels) accross devices

  36. cal0pteryx

    Yes, per account :)

  37. Squeaky Latex Folf

Hey, does anyone know how to do disco in Gajim? e.g. I want to see nodes and components and MUCs of a server

  38. mesonium

Squeaky Latex Folf, Accounts -> $Account -> Discover Services -> Enter server address

  39. Squeaky Latex Folf

    Thanks

  40. mesonium

but it won't show you all mucs if there are too many, iirc it doesn't support paging
