curious, you can't OMEMO messages if you're only one in a private group room that can let your messages be encrypted?

I have trusted my laptop with the other device but still unable to send OMEMO messages in a group in which I'm the only participant (I made it recently and ams testing)

luna, to lazy to look it up, but yes could very well be the case, except people testing stuff this has no actual use that i know of

does gajim have a settin to enable OMEMO by default in 1:1 conversations?

found the setting in privacy under account settings. but then it tries to encrypt in public channels

it was specifically when i had the dialogue open, and tried typing in this chat. after closing dialogue and restarting, it was fine. seems like maybe some very specific and weird edge case.

i tried sending a message here, and it said OMEMO not available, but the button to change encryption was disabled.

yeah could be some edge case we didnt consider when enabling the setting

a normal chat switch probably would have fixed it

btw is the workspace feature just entirely client-side, or does it create some stuff on the server?

cal0pteryx, I can see from the link that the problem has not really been solved yet. As I don't understand the content of all the information, I would like to ask when the implementation is planned.
