http://www.jabber.de shows no answer, my Gajim cannot reach the server

at this point it makes no sense to exchange credentials because the server is not reachable for me

ok seems the website is reachable, sending a login request for example lovetox@jabber.de does not work for me still

lovetox. Gajim has been attempting to connect to jabber.de for over a couple of hours.

That server will be available, eventually.

jabber.de is known to have issues. It's badly maintained and many people moved away from that server

cal0pteryx. Yes. I am aware of ti. Yet, it would be good to handle that issue and others, nevertheless.

Is anyone else experiencing lagging of Gajim graphical intreface, after the screen is blanked due to inactivity?

After restarting Gajim, Gajim works normally.

Am running Gajim 2.1.0/Linux, and it has problem dealing with MUC Avatar

The picture has been updated from another client, but Gajim (even after having been restarted) still displays the old one

I'm talking about the avatar/picture of the MUC itself, not any user

Is there a way to force refresh of it?

try gajim -l gajim.c.m.vcardavatars=DEBUG ✏

and look what it says for the groupchat

I did try to delete the picture of that MUC from Gajim before, without success

But the picture appears in other clients nevertheless (other accounts too)

Ahhh, definitely likely the issue, it's indeed after an update to Prosody 13(.0.1)

yes just checked the server has 13.0.1

Domain is fifth.space, but it's “private”

a bit unlucky, Gajim did not yet support the new standard, and prosody accidentally broke the old

but should be fine with the next Gajim version in a week or so

Yeah well, that's not so much of an issue, doesn't really prevent communication :)
