Heyo here, hope everyone is good

Just letting you know that lot of fediverse instances are about to defederate from fosstodon.org (because a mod seems to do really bad things, like supporting deportation): Gajim account is on fosstodon.org, so maybe the "do we need to move?" is a question today ^^

How can I disable this weird feature that requires me to type some @ signs to be able to mention people?

Codimp: Mind sharing some context? I have an old account there which I don't use. I was debating if I should delete the account or not.

I used to be a mod there, years ago. Back when it was a small and cozy place.

Codimp: What about hosting your own GoToSocial instance? It's lightweight and simple to setup and to manage. Even an idiot like me can do it.

I'm not from the Gajim team, I just posted this to inform about the situation and possible issue, and I don't think the Gajim team want to host a fediverse instance ^^
