Perhaps your chat partner can try another xmpp Server (get a second xmpp address).

lovetox, the ArchLinux maintainer made the mistake of updating nbxmpp to 6.0.0 already, with Gajim not having been released yet; when do you plan on releasing it?

a bot just opened an issue on the Arch Gitlab saying version 6.0.0 of nbxmpp was here so I think the maintainer just upgrade it without noticing the problem

lovetox, you can click on the publish button at the top of the buildbot page, after it successfully generated a flatpak.

Otherwise it will automatically be published after three hours.

seems I have the same kind of issue since Gajim 2.0 but with all menus

(The gst lines shouldn't matter, I've seen those myself w/o the mentioned issues, but I will fix them somehow anyway in the future)

Also: the file selector to upload a file is broken, when I open it CLI say "(W) gajim.gtk.file_transfer_selector Could not add" and clicking to add a file don't do anything
