jjj333_p (any pronouns): clicking X should leave the group chat. Otherwise you can completely remove the chat by going to Start Chat > right click chat > forget chat

  5. mrdoctorwho

recent gajim master seems to be ignoring some messages sent with omemo

  6. jjj333_p (any pronouns)

    > jjj333_p (any pronouns): clicking X should leave the group chat. thats what i thought and have done in the past. however it wasnt working this time

  7. cal0pteryx

mrdoctorwho: seriously: logs or ot didn't happen. How is anyone supposed to reproduce that without any details

  8. mrdoctorwho

cal0pteryx, if there were logs I would have added them to my message. So far this happened 2 times with no logs (or I missed them) and I sent my message to find out if the issue is known or not

  9. mrdoctorwho

I don't always run gajim in debug mode

  10. mrdoctorwho

cal0pteryx, could this be the error causing messages to be ignored? Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/gajim/gajim/.venv/lib/python3.13/site-packages/nbxmpp/dispatcher.py", line 754, in _execute_handler_chain handler["func"](self._client, stanza, properties) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ File "/home/gajim/gajim/.venv/lib/python3.13/site-packages/gajim/common/modules/chatstates.py", line 163, in _process_chatstate assert properties.carbon is not None ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ AssertionError

  11. cal0pteryx

Maybe, but I don't think so. But thanks for the bug report, I'll fix that issue later

  13. Codimp

hello, someone know where I can find Gajim code implementing XEP-0368? About SRV DNS records to check to connect to a server? I can't find it in the code

  14. lovetox

    It's in python nbxmpp

  15. lovetox

But it's simply the standard xmpp srv records

  16. Codimp

I can't find it in nbxmpp too, do you know in which file it is?

  17. lovetox

    Adresses

  18. Codimp

    thanks

Greetings, just testing things out for the first time...

  25. shodan

Is it the xmpp protocol that does not support "special" characters in file names like ' and ( ) ? or it is gajim stripping them out ?

  26. shodan

Example this file is supposed to be called Hannah's song(7).mp3

  27. shodan

    https://chat.domn.net:5443/upload/500b07a7efeff7dd5a382d5bf3fa0d30cec686c6/1s1ZHZGhx64Kx8I6Xj7MpV2gUeKgTesbk5pqXLL7/Hannah_s_song_7_.mp3

  28. shodan

But the characters are getting replaced by _

  29. Kris

that's probably more of a conservative fallback for file system limitations

  30. izder456

I don't think fat32 supports those characters even. yet it is primarily the de-facto portable standard. like kris said, its probably the gcd (greated common denominator) of allowed characters across filesystem.

I don't think fat32 supports those characters even, yet it is the de-facto portable filesystem. like kris said, its probably the gcd (greatest common denominator) of allowed characters across filesystems.
