Hey, I just checked my htop and saw gajim spawning a bunch gzip commands (goes up to PID 3394493) for spll checking, any idea what could be causing this (note: I'm on NixOS and that already messes with which languages I can even pick)?

I don't know for certain but looks like a hunspell packaging issue on nixos?
-

I don't know and I don't have the energy to debug this to be honest, I just killed the process and restarted it for now
-
famfo_
I guess I'll just disable spell checking, hunspell doesn't seem to pick up eg. english for example too
-
based
hm, are there individual packages for stuff it maybe didnt install?
-
based
also u could use the flatpak as a workaround too
-
famfo_
Could be missing hinspellDicts for the languages, don't want to mess about with flatpak home-manager.nix integration though so eh, good enough for me

alright, i wish you a great day! :D

I did some telnet ipv6 port tests and the client and server ports got connected and here's a quick portscan testing my XMPP server locally (my side supports IPv6) ``` sudo nmap -6 -Pn -p 5222,5223,5269,5270,5443,5280,5281,3478,5349 2001:1c07:105:6200:da3a:ddff:fedf:4d55 PORT STATE SERVICE 5222/tcp open xmpp-client 5223/tcp open xmpp-client-tls 5269/tcp open xmpp-server 5270/tcp open xmpp-server-tls 5280/tcp open xmpp-bosh 5281/tcp open xmpp-bosh-tls 3478/tcp closed stun 5349/tcp closed stuns 5443/tcp open upload ``` ↺

btw- this is a minor thing and I can ignore, but thought i'd ask as it mildly bothers me. I use the spleen font as my gtk font, and so does gajim as a result. I *do* have the noto emoji fonts installed, but the react icons and other emoji stuff doesn't render in gajim. why? (i'm on openbsd, but that probably isn't relevant)

probably a font config problem

you need to tell your system to use the main font any fallback to noto✎ -
