depends, are you talking about a groupchat?

lovetox: no pb, i do not want to ask again some information which have already been given to me, and those info are not known to me before i need them. I don't know it it answers the question

As said gajim loads on join only one day

Gajim loads of course messages from the database. But they need to be downloaded first into the database and gajim does that only for one day on first jojn

I've noticed that jumping to an older message in history (via a reply or a searched message) does not work in the gtk4 branch as expected: it jumps not to the message but only back a few days, showing a fixed number of messages and a _Scroll up to load more chat history…_ hint, which is a lie :) ✏

cal0pteryx, the jump to the latest message on switching chat isn't supposed to be fixed yet, is it?

How can i concert it to 1.7.3? It was probably corrupted when gajim 1.7.3 started first time

Exit Gajim, rename the faulty one, copy the backup as log.db and start Gajim 1.7.3 again: hopefully the upgrade magically works now

Just turn off Gajim and then turn it on. And everything will work. Works every time.

so gajim renders code snippets now and if there is one wide enough for a horizontal scrollbar, it blocks scrolling up and down with touchpad/scrollwheel when your cursor scrolls to the code box :(

at least in the gtk4 branch i cannot reproduce this

so if you are lucky this will be solved soon
