how do i share my location in gajim? readme says > GeoClue for sharing your location

but i cant find any button except the recording and the attachment

this is not as you know it from other messengers

there is a continous location share thing in xmpp, you can simply enable it in the preferences, and then your contacts can live track your location until you turn it off

but im not aware on any client who supports that

right in that way it makes sense

and Gajim also only supports the sending side, not displaying it in a useful fashin

yes, we want that, and it would be easy to do with the current code

basically everything is in place

its just a bit tricky where to get the map data from, because usually services give you that only for money

right. anyways looks like its not worth to add it as a depedency now. it only makes the package larger with no benefits

It looks like openstreetmap and some others have free tile servers. Not that I even want this feature.

we have it packaged but it is not added as a depedency yet
