so if nicoco gets around fixing that last issue, it can be merged?
-
aereaux
If you mean the unresolved thread, I think it's actually fixed as far as I can tell
-
Kris
the "FIXME: when the account is disconnected and you open a unread chat" crash

hey o/ from what i understand gajim uses the emoji package https://pypi.org/project/emoji/ and after that is in the path, it gets emojis from a font i have installed to show emojis?
-
lovetox
no, this library allows us to discover a emoji in a message and then we can make it bigger
-
lovetox
it has nothing to do with displaying emojis
-
lovetox
that is handled by your installed font
-
MSavoritias (fae/ve, she/her)
ah im asking because i cant see emojis. so basically the problem is all in my fonts nothing else
-
MSavoritias (fae/ve, she/her)
that makes it simpler thanks :)
-
lovetox
normally people install noto-emoji

lovetox
https://packages.debian.org/sid/fonts-noto-color-emoji

lovetox
for example in debian

It is a known bug/issue that sent messages sometimes show up twice, one as normal and a second with the clock/delay icon? It seems to be mostly visual, as the messages always deliver fine.

lovetox
does it happen if you rejoin the chat?
-
mike
No usually rejoining or just closing Gajim and reopening stops it from happening for a while
-
mike
But like I said the messages go through right away (confirmed by checking from another client), so it doesn't seem like a connectivity issue.
-
lovetox
then its probably the mutli client problem with ejabberd and occupant-id

-
mike
Ohh that would make sense. Now that I think about it it may mainly happen in an MUC that's on ejabberd

mike
Thanks!

Hello. How do I open an aesgcm:// image in gajim? I do not have image previews enabled for security reasons (I do not want another webp 0day or whatever). If I paste it into web browser, it searches the link in duckduckgo instead.

I tried asking AI, which either gives me incorrect answers or breaks the AI
