@ fjklp: Thanks for trying that. "Extra condition" seems a valid inference from your results. There is no extra condition, as affecting Gajim or keyring, that I deliberately put in place. (All I did was to install Gajim and start using it.) As for an extra condition accidentally put in place I cannot think of any candidate (not very knowledgeable in computing). I will report back if I find any futher clue.

Sounds like an interesting movie. Time will tell if it's ever translated from Korean to something else.

Sounds like what the world is actually like, with misleading slogans aimed at the youth, like be yourself and find your passion.

Patrick: start gajim from a terminal using `gajim -v` and check for errors. Alternatively, use flatpak, it's way newer

as far as I know, Canonical has not (officially) released the upgrade from 22.04 to 24.04 yet. But should happen next week with the release of 24.04.1. They have postponed the date from 19.08. to 29.08.

Patrick: looks like something is wrong with openssl on your system. Try flatpak :) it works

go to start/join chat. Select global group chat search. Hit space then enter. Keeps gajim busy for awhile :)
-
fjklp
2100 group chats found

fjklp: :D please create an issue, then we can avoid empty strings or have a minimum search length
