Have the Debian nightly's stopped permanently, I know there was a delay while a python package migrated to unstable but I just had a look and apt says the repro is empty

hello! ive been having an issue with gajim where i cant switch chats. ill click on a different user or room and nothing happens. after a couple minutes it will suddenly switch. its been so frustrating and i havent been able to debug it. ive tried switching from the arch linux package to flatpak, but it didnt fix it

any recommendations as for what i could do to figure out the issue?

Anything in the logs?

so it takes a minute to switch and while it switches you can do something else or not?

or is the application frozen?

the application doesnt freeze, but i cant navigate to any other chats. it queues up

I'm trying to get the acronym expander plugin to work, but it doesn't activate when I type an acronym. What am I doing wrong?

From the code that I read, it should expand when I finish typing the acronym ✏

i think when i try to switch through new chat dialog, nothing happens either

its incredibly frustrating haha

restarting the client doesnt help either

its almost like its catching up on something and its gotta do that before the ui wants to respond

aah and i think i cant do gajim > quit when its in the frozen state

it starts to log me out, and then just waits

so i have to kill the program

MarsIronPI, looks like the Acronyms Expander plugin hasn't been adapted to Gajims upstream changes yet. There have been changes regarding the message input and its buffer (which is now multiple buffers instead of one)

Maki Doll, so you are saying it does not happen on every switch?

gajim works fine most of the time, but maybe once every two days this happens

or maybe every day, i dont know

it seems to take 2-10 minutes to resolve

but when its in this frozen state, i cant switch to anything
