Hi everyone, I just joined magicbroccoli through Gajim to contact someone. So I send my message but i have this orange warning sign next to my pseudo. Does someone knows what it means ?

Is there a way to force gajim to sync history even if I've seen the messages already? I'm having a chat with someone on my phone, swap to gajim, and the chat doesn't exist until the other party responds or I force a message on my phone.

deimosBSD: are you sure you talk about history? Or do you mean you want to sync the open chat list

Just because a chat is not in the chat list does not mean you have missed messaged

Open the chat on Gajim and you will see that all messages are there

my terminology is probably off here

i have the same problem, theres missing messages in chats until i start recieving new ones, then they redownload

if I go into the account itself (bottom left in my UI), the chats are there

but it doesn't appear in my workspace(?)

also it says it cant decrypt messages from another client even tho its verified, it works fine once gajim is running tho, but messages from before i opened gajim are unreadable

Yes Gajim currently puts a chat only in the chat list if we receive live messages

This does not mean you miss history

I think we could in the future also add chats with messages you read already on another device
