Gajim - 2024-02-17

I don't have a windows at hand to test, but is gajim supposed to appear 3 times in the windows task manager?

My father (who uses gajim on windows) was complaining that it took several seconds between typing a key and seeing the letter on the screen, I advised him to quit and relaunch (the ultimate technique), and then he got "database is locked" error messages, I'm trying to understand what happened…

My working theory is that the windows store version was running alongside the pre-windows store version which is something that happened on my partner's windows laptop IIRC. Is that possible?

Gajim running multiple times on Windows is a problem I observed on some peoples machines in the past. But I thought we fixed that. Gajim launches e g. dbus.exe, which means the "gajim summary" in the task manager will always show more than one. But since it is collapsed in this screen shot, we can't tell for sure.

I doubt it's related but I observed that I had two tray icons for gajim the other day in linux for no known reason

I have 2 gajim tray icons but that’s intented, latest release to chat, and my test profile to try and introduce new bugs with my merge requests 😄

nicoco, I tend to have my development instances in dnd or away, to be able to distinguish them from my main instance :D
