  1. Mel

hello um, I have a severe issue and I really need to recover some old chat history

  2. Mel

I blocked the user in question and removed them from my workspace, but the chat history should still be stored somewhere, right? how can I get that back? I need it urgently. my life depends on it

  3. Mel

they're in logs.db if there's a way to get that back up

  4. fjklp

Mel: the easy way is to do it within gajim. Just go to the plus button at top right, Start Chat, enter their nick in the search field and it should show the chat that you can open to read

  5. fjklp

I'm not sure what you mean by "blocked"

  6. fjklp

let me know if that doesn't work

  7. fjklp

    otherwise, open logs.db with sqlitebrowser

  8. Mel

    > Mel: the easy way is to do it within gajim. Just go to the plus button at top right, Start Chat, enter their nick in the search field and it should show the chat that you can open to read Server-to-server connection failed: expired certificate

  9. Mel

    but it's okay

  10. Mel

while struggling, I managed to export chat history. didn't know that was a feature

  11. Mel

now I have the evidence in case it comes to court

  12. Mel

    thank you so much

  13. Mel

    you literally saved my life

  14. Mel

    goodbye

  15. fjklp

I doubt I saved any life

Heya, would it be possible to change the behaviour of greying out the text input when connection is lost? And like just maybe grey out the sending button

  17. pep.

I often lose connectivity when tethering (and I tether very often), and not being able to finish my thought is very annoying

  18. pep.

    I opened an issue :)

  19. sch

    > I opened an issue :) +1

  20. sch

    > I opened an issue :) I sent +1 to #11759

Being able to push messages to a send queue regardless of online state would be my preferred solution. There are reasons why the input is disabled when we're offline

Hi, I was wondering how the MPRIS "now playing" feature of Gajim works, or if it's still available.

  23. lovetox

    yeah it should work

  24. lovetox

you need a audio player that has mpris support

  25. lovetox

and then you can press a shortcut in gajim, and it gets the current playing song and paste it into your message input

  26. lovetox

    so you can send it
