Gajim - 2024-01-14

Hey lovetox and others, for some reason Gajim does not sync many history messages on a fresh installation, either muc and muc_mam. Just checked with fresh Conversations installation - it works as intended. May I ask someone to check whether this is a Gajim issue or something non-compliant on my server? xmpp:anime@muc.valdikss.org.ru?join for example. Gajim loads only a single message there.

If I join xmpp:anime@muc.valdikss.org.ru?join via Gajim (regardless the account), I don't see any messages, like MUC doesn't work at all. However it works on fresh Conversations. And MUC is indeed enabled for the room.

remember Gajim only requests the last 24 hours

from Gajim side there seems nothing wrong

I set the sync setting in gajim for this room for 2 weeks

I told you it's confusing :)

Mine is set to 1 Month and I didn't get anything when I first joined

First join is always 24 hours

You can not change that

Only following joins the sync setting apply

I think I've found a UI issue. The following URL https://upload.canchat.org:5281/file_share/VJuMGHHwHFUUU1NwIxqEhlzC/%2333_interview:_anjan_(of_sxmo_fame)_20240114-163332.pdf was delivered as Out Of Band. Once downloaded the displayed filename is `VJuMGHHwHFUUU1NwIxqEhlzC` instead of the actual filename.
