    TBF, the single-window apps can be taken too far too. IMHO Kaidan (still) feels too much like a mobile app on a desktop.

    I’d say the early IM UIs and as a consequence the previous Gajim interface, was optimised for 1-1 and got quite cluttered when it comes to larger group chats.

    bob2023, 2.) you enter the address on the left part below My Workspace and start a new chat. Do not forget to activate OMEMO on the bottom line then

    1.) the fastest way I know in Gajim to see your Fingerprint: Left Mouse Button on your username in the list on the left. Then in the chat with your self click on the "Person with the i" pictogram on the top right
