wasn't able to post in here from my PC and messages were only showing from some time in November. couldn't figure out any sort of command like /reconnect or /cycle so had to restart the whole client

so in the advanced configuration editor I can set date/time format for a few different spots, but for the day change announcement text it is adding an extra shortened day to the start that I didn't put there myself, so if I set my preferred format to %A %F %T it will say Wed Wednesday etc. instead of just Wednesday. If I remove the %A and just have %F %T I get Wed before the expected numerical date still. I can't find a spot so far to remove that. I would prefer it just say the whole day, manually set by my own setting.

if this is hardcoded in it should be considered a bug, IMO. but maybe I'm just missing another setting somewhere

I don't think it was always this way but it's definitely been a problem for a while and I had put off dealing with it. for now the best solution is to just take the %A off so it only says the day once at least but it doesn't look how I want

issue #10948 may be relevant, also I'm on Gajim 1.7.3

looks like everything in that issue is at least 11 months old and 1.7.3 is 8 months old so the old release probably doesn't matter, but not sure. would love to be on a newer release of course, but I think guix is behind
