gajim is actively evading my attempts to figure out the bug that made new mucs get renamed after old mucs

I took meticulous notes, restarted gajim, now I won't do it again, after reproducing it tens of times

Is it normal for the jid_id number to ever be different from the line number in the jids table of logs.db?

I see that jid_id 19 went missing somehow, and I wonder if that's related to what I was experiencing. It also happens to be next to the jid of one of the mucs I recently created.

So in my jids table, jid_id matches line number up until jid_id 19 is missing, then all the jid_id are off by one from the line number

When I say the mucs were renamed, they weren't actually renamed, but most places in the gajim UI would show the wrong name.

any ideas how to disable these status messages? I tried to disable it in the configuration but It did not work

"show status changes" is disabled

matthias, hm you cant disable that, it looks like this MUC is behaving wrong

I think that this problem only occurs at my laptop which constantly goes to "sleep" an wakes up again. I sometimes think gajim behaves strange in that case. i will check this evening

I want to be notified just by sound and tray icon

probably in your OS somewhere

check notification settings on your OS and disable it for Gajim
