Does Gajim have any working call support? I know that it hasn't really been worked on

i might have asked this earlier , but how do i update gajim portable ? i replaced the binaries but gajim still shows on version 1.8.1

You execute the installer as you would on a new install ✏

Then where do i install it ?

It will not overwrite your user data

if you look into the folder u see your user data are separated from the application data

yes it sucks, but unless you are willing to contribute to fix it... dont moan :)
