funny and annoying thing discovered: we can't copy/paste image from teams to pidgin, because of copying image from teams will put a <img src="data:image/jpeg;base64,xxxxxxx"> on the clipboard, and so pasting that is just a string. congrats microsoft

Applying a new profile icon doesn't seem to stick lots of the time

I either have to disable and enable the account, or to reopen Gajim. Probably because we use older versions. Or because we use tor. Or it it something about the server. I don't know.

there are definitely issues with gajim and some servers where some avatars do not show up. I don't know where the bug is but hopefully I'll figure it out some day.

Nope. There is the tor only binary. But I forgot how it is called. Even with the browser. You open the browser and gajim to proxy socks 127.0.0.1 9150

You can look at Gavin's XML console while setting your profile picture. Those are the protocol bits in the background. There you'll see what the server answers

There have been fixes for changing profile pictures. So you should make sure to run the latest Gajim (1.8.1). It's available via Flatpak, if your distro doesn't ship up to date software

sorry for that, I keep pressing enter my mistake. The only place it showing me 'Remove History' it is in the 'Note to myself' chat. Just there and only there.

Also, this newer version ( 1.5.1 ) it is slower I feel it heavier then the 1.3.1. The chat it is oppening slower. It takes more time to close the windows. I have a slow computer. It does not bother me. I'm just giving feedback.

noticed something, if someone can double check before I open a issue on gitlab. for that you need a webcam with a light indicator when used. steps to reproduce: go to preferences > audio/video > enable toggle "live preview" => led is powered on, disable preview => light is off, enable again => light is on, close the preference window => light still on. go back on setting, toggle is off.

looks like a zombie process is running if you do not toggle off before closing pref window
