This might not technically be a bug, but I was just bit by it. It seems that logs generated by enabling debug logging use single quotes while the xml console uses double quotes. I tried searching for `code="110"` which found no results, because I had to instead search for `code='110'`.

It would be nice if output was unified. I definitely wouldn't expect that.

shodan, Kris, cal0pteryx, the main issue I have with sender-generated link previews is that many websites offer localised content, so it might not be in the same language as the recipient’s.

Other than that, it’s imo the best solution.

If a chat or channel setz or respectively advertises a preferred language, could you generate link previews in an appropriate language? ✏

meson, it depends, some websites do it automatically based on your IP address’s guessed location, which is terrible.

A minor problem compared to receivers randomly following every link they receive :) Also: a receiver may ignore a preview sent with a message, and generate their own
