How does the Windows version of Dino do it?

I just finally got my XMPP server working... hopefully well enough people are seeing this. This client is so awesome though, I've put off trying XMPP for so long because I despise the clients for Matrix, but XMPP appears to be in a much better shape.

Setting up XMPP was super easy to be honest. Glad everyone can see me. My Matrix server made me want to pull my hair out. This protocol is already growing on me.

Quick question. Is it possible to clear a MUC other than going into its settings and using Remove History?

fjklp, i learned today that after a server restart, it can take on ejabberd servers up to 5 minutes, before the server lets you connect again to the restarted remote server

I still don't know what is going wrong and where with the biboumi thing but I know that this seems to be unique to the biboumi rooms I'm joined to ✏

of course with biboumi there is another layer where errors can happen

as biboumi needs to first reconnect to the IRC server, before it can let Gajim rejoin the chat

for me, it has been staying disconnected for over 24 hours

I also tried cloning it locally and then `git push --set-upstream $myrepo` or `git remote add .. && git push` and getting `remote: The project you were looking for could not be found or you don't have permission to view it.`

today when the server restarted, gajim reconnected automatically. I'm running gajim-nightly 20231010-1. It looks like about 4 minutes elapsed from server shutdown to joining.
