I notice that XEP 0363 (HTTP File Upload) is supported by Gajim, but also that this spec does not specify encryption (leaves it up to the client). I was wondering what Gajim does in the case that a client is using OMEMO or PGP in a chat and decides to use the HTTP file upload feature- would it use symmetric keys from that session to encrypt the file, would it encrypt the filename? I hope this isn't too impulsive of a question to ask (i should read the code) :

Flatpak works well on Debian. Otherwise, a newer version might be in the backports repository

Don't get why so few try XMPP lol. is marketing that powerful? also doesnt help its not called Jabber anymore

Gajim could quite reasonably be extended with a Mumble plugin. There is a Mumble python library that would probably work

yes, I think branding and being pushed by a big organization makes a big difference but it's a number of combining forces
