any idea why I get a perpetual spinner icon on the official ejabberd muc (only) but the room works fine otherwise? ✏

its the only MUC of the many I have joined where this happens

well, except for some Bifrost bridge rooms where this also happens from time to time, but not consistetly

but that cant be in the ejabberd support muc

but as I said it works fine, just a bit annoying to see it spinn all the time in Gajim

how do I get the debug log easiest?

activate debug logging in preferences

restart

leave the room

note the time

join the room

wait 20 seconds, note the time

get the log, and send it

and tell me the timestamps :)

I am on the latest flatpak btw

Hi there. I am familiar with fingerprint verification on Signal and I have read about fingerprint verification on XMPP with OMEMO. I am trying to figure out if there's a way to "revoke" my old fingerprints from clients I was testing before I settled on a mobile and desktop client. Is there an easy way to do this?

but there should be a "clear devices" button

it will remove all old devices automatically

So it won't clear the devices that I am logged into currently? I am worried that if I clear devices here (desktop Gajim), then I will clear fingerprint attached to my phone, for example. I think I understand that you are saying that will not happen.

It will clear all your fingerprints, but any devices that are online will automatically re-add theirs. They won't be new fingerprints, so you don't have to worry about verifying them again
