Suggestion for the input box, whenever it grows, scroll down the messages view. It,s quite disturbing not being able to see what you're replying to
-
cal0pteryx
That's a gtk textview+scrolledwin+height allocation+textwrap issue :P

Not so easily fixed?

-

I tried to restart the computer, tried to reinstall the package.
-
oooooneeeeet
https://pastebin.com/BZiStaAb it looks like everything is happening because of attempts to customize the theme earlier through the creation of a new theme
-
fjklp
I still can't figure out the cause of the tray icon showing unread erroneously

2006: you can remove a theme manually, check your appdata folder (windows) or your profile /.config/gajim

Hi, Gajim 1.7.3 (Gentoo) writes on STDERR: 07/05/23 19:53:10 (W) gajim.c.m.caps (jabb3r.de) Disco info malformed: [..]@[..]/profanity.1SxB Caps hashes differ: OY[..]30= != Vtl[..]38= [..] = redacted username and key
-
jstein
what does this mean?
-
lovetox
that their client misbehaves announcing features he supports
-
lovetox
this should have little influence on you, except maybe you are trying to use something like calling this user or p2p filetransfer something
-
jstein
lovetox, ok thx
-
jstein
on STDERR I saw an ERROR and lost connection to a MUC https://conference.gajim.org:5281/pastebin/df030065-33f2-4a2e-9d57-1459eee923ae

Any ideas, what could cause this? 07/05/23 17:26:18 (E) nbxmpp.dispatcher (jabb3r.de) Handler exception:
-
lovetox
i think we fixed this error
-
lovetox
either way, its nothing problematic
-
jstein
ok
-
jstein
The date is in a strange format "07/05/23 17:26:18" It would be great, if Gajim would adopt RFC/ISO date format with 2023-07-05 ... What do you think?
-
jstein
https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc3339
-
jstein
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601
-
jstein
The log is then sortable and has a monotonic increasing time value
-
jstein
Now we have 07/05/23 << 08/05/22 which makes no sense.
-
jstein
besides the 2 digit year which should be really avoided as we learned from y2k
-
jstein
I made a feature request from this idea now: https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/-/issues/11576
-
lovetox
...
-
lovetox
it formats it in the style you have configured on your system
-
lovetox
so if you dont like this format, go to the date options of your system and define another one
-
jstein
ok, let me test again
-
jstein
echo $TIME_STYLE #returns iso
-
jstein
I will look into my config, perhaps it is a problem on my side.
-
lovetox
but its not time
-
lovetox
its a date
