Gajim - 2020-03-09

  1. bot nothing created an issue in _gajim-plugins_ < >: #486: < Question Regarding OMEMO >
  2. spinach where do I start if I want to write a plugin for gajim? Is there some kind of library or thing I can download?
  3. spinach I want to make a plugin for gajim that makes the messages look a bit more like dino
  4. spinach pfp on the left, nickname/username on top, message right below it
  5. spinach I'm looking at the source code for other plugins, it seems like it's a lot of work for such a small simple thing
  6. spinach is there any documentation for plugins?
  7. bot Daniel Brötzmann modified an issue in _gajim-plugins_ < >: #486: < Question Regarding OMEMO >
  8. wurstsalat spinach: there are other plugins you can look at, but no specific documentation. what you want to do is planned in the long term, but that would need significant changes in the way conversations are displayed in gajim. this is not just a cosmetic change, and I think a plugin could not achieve what you want
  9. hannibal asterix, with the switch to new app id for flatpak builds, old ids should be removed
  10. hannibal to list all ids run `ostree --repo=$repo refs`
  11. hannibal for each line that contains `org.gajim.Gajim` without `Devel`, run `ostree --repo=$repo refs --delete --force $line`
  12. hannibal e.g. `ostree --repo=$repo refs --delete --force app/org.gajim.Gajim/x86_64/master`
  13. hannibal this needs to be done only once
  14. hannibal when done, `flatpak build-update-repo --prune $repo` should be run, you can also add `--prune` to the build-update-repo line in your script
  15. asterix hannibal, I remove all plugins that are not .Devel ? or only Gajim?
  16. asterix hannibal, --force isn't recognized, but without --force it seems to work correctly
  17. asterix all done
  18. hannibal asterix: org.gajim.Gajim.Locale can be removed, too
  19. hannibal It seems, one of the commands caused problems with the gpg signature, I'll check how to fix it. Maybe you can run ostree fsck --repo=$repo
  20. asterix Locale removed
  21. asterix fsck run
  22. eta is there a way to get the list of MUCs to sort by most recent activity?

  27. wurstsalat eta: no there is not
  28. eta ah well
  29. stuebs Thank you wurstsalat for pointing out the duplicate issue. Anyway I don't get what is the proposed solution in my situation.
  30. stuebs wurstsalat: Never mind :-) Since I couldn't figure out how to downgrade axolotl, I then git-cloned the current gajim release and it works like a charm
  31. eta hmmm, is python-nbxmpp (latest git) setting the resource to "test", despite what the setting in gajim is?
  32. eta s/despite/irregardless of/
  33. bot Philipp Hörist closed an issue in _gajim_ < >: #9998: < Disco Info error in in _server_items_received: 'NoneType' object is not callable >
  34. eta (I tried changing it but it still shows up as 'test' in the gajim hover-over description)
  35. eta (also, the XML console seems broken)
  36. lovetox yes eta thanks for noticing i fix it later
  37. eta lovetox: cool, thanks :)
  38. hannibal asterix, I forgot the gpg-sign parameter again :(, could you run `flatpak build-update-repo --prune --gpg-sign=$KEYID $REPO` or if you have added `--prune` to your script, we can wait for the script to run
  39. asterix hannibal, ha yes, I should have thought to it too. done
  40. asterix is it k now?
  41. hannibal asterix, it's okay now, thanks
  42. asterix great, thank you
  43. hannibal asterix, one more thing, sorry, the previous run without gpg needs to be fixed for gnome-software: ostree gpg-sign --repo=$repo b3b25a11f4b08ef8c11fff4f3bdf166b523dab0cbea91fc138a243afcd3b0267 $KEYID ostree gpg-sign --repo=$repo d706df9ba0e29b09ee005a4620e7c8a7a0fa8950a0cba64d241d310c3cc0a3f8 $KEYID
  44. asterix hannibal, ok done
  45. hannibal thanks
