Gajim - 2019-10-01

  1. lovetox_ asterix did you test that with current master or the link mauve branch?
  2. asterix Current master
  3. daniel i'm confused
  4. lovetox_ asterix how is this even possible
  5. lovetox_ in the __on_transport_replace method, it calls __session_accept()
  6. lovetox_ how would that translate to a transport accept
  7. asterix Not anymore ! I fixed things localy!
  8. asterix Not commited yet. I tried to test with conversation, but I wasn't able to make Gajim ignore conversation candidates yesterday ...
  9. daniel asterix, again i'm up for testing this if you want
  10. daniel i can make my conversations temporarily not send any candidates

  14. kerel Hi! First of all - it's great to see the active development of gajim!
  15. kerel I was just hit by https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/issues/8846#note_182190 (actually I was able to find the solution only because this issue existed). As this issue was closed without a follow-up, should I open a new one tracking the proposed improvement for the UX of disabling auto-join for MUCs?
  16. lovetox_ no its already changed in master
  17. kerel oh ok, cool!
  18. kerel thanks for the fast answer! I guess https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/commit/378d5200ef1229fa7060fd990d586d9a759a9eb6 91f82a8 and 0de8c8a fixed it. Nice!
  19. lovetox_ not really that commit, thats just a label change
  20. lovetox_ but yes when you leave we dont autojoin that groupchat on next start
  21. lovetox_ and if you dont leave we will autojoin at next start
  22. lovetox_ so you really dont have to care about what bookmarks are
  23. kerel heh, I see, indeed. But the idea behind the whole commit set (didn't link all).
  24. concerto lovetox_: does the LMC issue between Gajim and Conversations arise from a recent change in the LMC XEP?
  25. lovetox yes could be
  26. lovetox didnt look into it yet
  27. lovetox but concerto this should only happen when you correct a correction
  28. concerto lovetox: weird. Testing with my own account, I can't reproduce it in either direction 😕
  29. concerto lovetox: the only case I can reproduce is Conversations -> Gajim, and only the first time I edit a message.
  30. lovetox in single?
  31. lovetox i just tried this in muc and it works fine
  32. concerto Yes, this is all 1:1.
  33. concerto I only ever get the issue in 1:1.
  34. lovetox indeed i can reproduce
  35. lovetox i check if i can fix that
  36. lovetox ...
  37. lovetox i could reproduce it actually once ..
  38. lovetox now it works ..
  39. lovetox ah i know
  40. lovetox gajim does not correct messages that where received while the chat was not opened
  41. lovetox so thats why it works once you open it and receive other edits
  42. concerto Ah. I noticed that but I thought it was usual Gajim behaviour 😁
  43. SaltyBones what might be the issue when I get errors that css_parser cannot be found?
  44. wurstsalat SaltyBones: install python3-css-parser
  45. SaltyBones hmpf
  46. SaltyBones tried css_parser
  47. SaltyBones 🙄
  48. wurstsalat SaltyBones: don't worry, it's a new dependency on master. Fresh installs will pull it automatically
  49. SaltyBones hm...the default install on my ubuntu is b0rked
  50. SaltyBones maybe I need to delete old config files
  51. SaltyBones where are those again?
  52. SaltyBones .local?
  53. SaltyBones hm... still doesn't work...what is dispatcher_nb?
  54. SaltyBones maybe a conflicting nbxmpp
  55. wurstsalat SaltyBones: nbxmpp and gajim need to be either stable/stable or master/master

  58. lovetox this should fix the case i described, let me know if you still have a isse
  59. lovetox this should fix the case i described, let me know if you still have a issue
  60. SaltyBones wurstsalat: yeah i m trying to figure out why my global python is finding the nbxmpp in my home
  61. SaltyBones it s explicitly in my sys.path...but how does it get there
  62. SaltyBones ok, got it
  63. SaltyBones phew
  64. SaltyBones in case anybody cares it was in ~/.local/lib/python3.6/site-packages/easy-install.pth
