  1. lovetox_ raver set a shorter threshold on mam messages on join
  2. lovetox_ like 1 day for example
  3. lovetox_ and no you cant set a order
  4. lovetox_ i dont understand why this muc would block anything
  5. lovetox_ except it has to download 500 messages on join
  6. Timur Davletshin Just out of pure curiosity. Do we have some XEP, that allows MUSc to befriend each other? E.g. linux@conference.server1 unites with linux@conference.server2
  7. Zash Care to elaborate?
  8. SouL Timur Davletshin, befriend in which sense? participants of MUC1 can read and write in MUC2 and viceversa? Just joining MUC1 or MUC2?
  9. Timur Davletshin Well, I failed to find something similar in piles XEPs.
  10. Timur Davletshin SouL, yep.
  11. Timur Davletshin A bit of unionism in xmpp federalism 😂
  12. pep. There are XEPs for muc federation, I don't know if that's what you want. I also never read them
  13. Timur Davletshin pep., no it's not about uniting MUCs.
  14. lovetox_ what Oo
  15. lovetox_ and what happens if they are friends
  16. lovetox_ ?
  17. Timur Davletshin MUC1 copies messages to MUC2 and viceversa.
  18. Timur Davletshin So as far as I understand it doesn't exist, right?
  19. pep. Timur Davletshin, some kind of MUC<->MUC bridge?
  20. lovetox_ and then? you have a mix of messages and conversations that never happend
  21. lovetox_ why not just destroy one of the mucs, leave a redirect to the other muc
  22. lovetox_ then you have unitied them
  23. Timur Davletshin Why merging messages from MUC1 and MUC2 before groups were united?
  24. Timur Davletshin Yep, but uniting is better idea, no? Color members from different MUCs in some color and have fun )))
  25. lovetox_ ok, to answer your question no nothing like that does exist
  26. Timur Davletshin 😟
  27. miro lovetox, about sharing config, when I got back in win, reading config is ok, all settings from linux are here, the only thing is that when win rewrite config file it capitalise it, and it is hardcoded in exe, so only way would be to patch py on linux side. I think I will keep them separated, maybe just rename win side on mayor config change. anyway, just so you know
  28. testy123 hello

  31. pvoigt What exact information is stored in ~/.local/share/gajim/omemo_<myJabberID>.db? Is it an sqlite database file?
  32. pvoigt File command at least claims it is an sqlite 3.x database file.
  33. lovetox yes
  34. lovetox all keys related to omemo encryption

  36. pvoigt lovetox, thanks, indeed I realized my question is more omemo than gajim related. That's why I expected something like one key pair per account.
  37. pvoigt lovetox, btw, after having realized yesterday that gajim-default-nighly is too new for Debian Buster I downgraded to Debian Buster shipped Gajim 1.1.2. My first omemo checks seeem OK.
  38. pvoigt lovetox, coming back to my original omemo related question: Do you know a good resource for learning about omemo key management in order to get an idea what keys are stored in ~/.local/share/gajim/omemo_<myJabberID>.db?
  39. lovetox not really, you can google signal protocol and look at the github repos of openwhisper systems
  40. lovetox or look at the gajim omemo code
  41. wurstsalat asterix, merci! ready for merge?
