Gajim - 2018-08-20

  1. Daniel Orbit, at least for german there is every string translated now.
  2. lovetox yeah but strings are not merged into code
  3. lovetox we do this at the end of beta
  4. Daniel You mean translations are not merged into code until final? Okay but every translatable string is translated in pootle, that's what I meant
  5. Daniel No beta announcement on
  6. lovetox asterix does it today
  7. lovetox yeah after translating in pootle the changes have to be merged into the git repo
  8. Daniel Ah nice :)
  9. devmule what additional_data in is actually for
  10. devmule ?
  11. asterix I indeed should have merged translations before beta ... I'll do for beta2
  12. asterix devmule: plugins
  13. devmule asterix, thanks
  14. devmule asterix, is there special methods for updating additional_info?
  15. asterix devmule: no, I don't think so
  16. devmule asterix, can plugin save data in it or it is unusable?
  17. devmule i bet nobody used it before
  18. asterix They can, that's the goal. And indeed, never used until now
  19. lovetox devmule, its used for oob data
  20. lovetox the idea is, the event passes this dict around, plugins can store data in it
  21. lovetox this data gets written to the db
  22. lovetox later if you load a message from the db, the dict is filled with this data again, and the plugin can act on it again
  23. lovetox look at the oob module in common, to see how its used
  24. Maranda lovetox, hmmm there's something strange
  25. Maranda standby... GIMP is starting (TM)
  26. Maranda
  27. Maranda (account name/tags there were in bold font before)
  28. lovetox try preference -> style and add a new theme
  29. lovetox there is a option for account row font
  30. Maranda negative
  31. Maranda
  32. Maranda lovetox, probably theme picker is broken on windows?
  33. devmule lovetox, when it is planned to complete work with additional data? seems like i found what i need
  34. lovetox Maranda, what is broken? you have to click the +
  35. lovetox and add a setting
  36. lovetox devmule, i dont understand what you mean, you can work with it already
  37. Maranda lovetox, oh lol the plus dialog there shown only chatstate etc... I didn't see it was scrollable
  38. Maranda sorry
  39. Maranda lovetox, yeah works. :)
  40. Maranda is a bit tired :P
  41. devmule lovetox, thanks, you are the best
  42. concerto Wow, suddenly Gajim has the latest emoji! :D
  43. concerto Awesome!

  58. concerto _And_ that sweet new history viewer!
  59. Zash gajim$ ./ Gajim needs python-nbxmpp >= 0.6.7 to run. Quitting...
  60. Zash :dissapointed:
  61. asterix then install 0.6.7 :)
  62. Zash I did git pull
  63. Zash From d713ce9..2428e39 master -> origin/master * [new tag] nbxmpp-0.6.7 -> nbxmpp-0.6.7 Updating d713ce9..2428e39
  64. concerto Zash: you have Debian, right? Why not use the Debian repo?
  65. asterix then python3 install?
  66. concerto Zash: you have Debian, right? Why not use the Gajim Debian repo?
  67. Zash Oh, I thought I had it symlinked somehow
  68. concerto Install gajim-default-nightly and enjoy the latest versions painlessly.
  69. Zash concerto: I've been running bleeding edge from version control.
  70. Zash Mostly for testing
  71. asterix feature list should be reworked on website ... if someone has a better list, I'd be happy! 😉
  72. Daniel I opened an issue for that in the website project, there we could collect ideas ;)
  73. bot Yann Leboulanger pushed 1 commit to branch _refs/heads/master_ of _website_ < >: *4e0ffabc* < > update website for 1.1.0
  74. asterix Daniel, ok thanks
  75. asterix Translation for website opened :)
  76. asterix Daniel, you do german before I update the website?
  77. Daniel Yes I'd like to :)
  78. asterix a few stings only. tell me when it's done
  79. asterix over :)
  80. Daniel asterix, done :)
  81. Daniel But: Release candidate 1? Isn't it beta1? RC1 comes after beta right?
  82. asterix it's the same ... beta = rc ... at least for us ...
  83. Daniel Ok! :)
  84. Orbit Gajim 1.0.99 win portable - when sending a file within a chat-window it is noticed once that there is no device at "/Device/Harddisk2/DR2"
  85. asterix ok it's online
  86. Daniel Nice!
  87. lovetox Orbit can you do a screenshot
  88. lovetox maybe from the whole filechooser dialog
  89. Orbit than i have to restart because the message apperas only one time i think - moment...
  90. Orbit
  91. bot muelli created an issue in _gajim_ < >: #9300: < crash when receiving a file >
  92. Orbit message screenshot: "There is no disk in the drive. Insert a data carrier into the drive ... one. "
  93. Daniel Hm, asterix, I don't see the strings I translated on the website
  94. asterix arg ...
  95. asterix I see french ones :/
  96. asterix I look
  97. bot Philipp Hörist closed an issue in _gajim_ < >: #9300: < crash when receiving a file >
  98. asterix Daniel, ok I see
  99. asterix Daniel, fixed
  100. Daniel Yes, works, thanks :)
  101. lovetox Orbit, not much we can do, seems you got some hidden device that the openfile dialog want to access but cant
  102. lovetox try googling how to get rid of that hidden harddisk
  103. Orbit no there is not such an device on my side...
  104. Daniel Orbit, check your disk management tool
  105. lovetox The question is, to what device does this refer, and why cant we open it
  106. lovetox if something cant be opened it should not be a harddisk device
  107. Orbit the file manager shows a place that exists but the message and the referring to the place/device that is named is wrong but the used directory exists since 0.16.x of gajim - it's a portable testing dir
  108. gerald are those themes available in 1.0.3+c49f9d60a? the drop down menu only offers default.
  109. lovetox these are not themes, its just the basic css files for gajim
  110. lovetox you try to get dark mode?
  111. gerald yes
  112. lovetox OS?
  113. gerald debian
  114. lovetox then google how to activate dark theme on your desktop
  115. gerald ok
